What ages do you provide childcare services for?
We serve students ages 1-5 years old. Students must be one year old before they begin our program. We will begin taking infants in August of 2011. Please contact the preschool directly for further information. Does my two year old need to be potty trained? No, the two year olds do not need to be potty trained. The teachers will work with the families to train the students when they are ready. The students do need to be fully potty trained before advancing to the three year old program for the following school year. Do you provide Voluntary Prekindergarten? Yes, we provide VPK for the School Year and for the Summer. The child must be 4 years old by September 1 st of the Current School year to be eligible. Parents must provide proof of Florida residency and proof of birth for the child. We also strictly follow the attendance policy for VPK has mandated in the VPK Parent Handbook. What are your curriculum choices? We use Essentials Preschool Curriculum for the two and three year old classes. Essentials, by Gospel Publishing House, covers all areas of a preschooler's development: mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. We use this curriculum because it provides the flexibility to reach children of every learning style. The children are taught in an interactive and hands on fashion. This creates a playful and relaxed foundation for the first childhood educational experience. Essentials reaches visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic learners. It prepares children for kindergarten using national guidelines. Building character with focuses on social emotional issues and purposeful play is a primary goal. This curriculum encompasses both the learning center and traditional education techniques. Click Here To See Curriculum Houghton Mifflin PreK is our choice for the Voluntary Prekindergarten Classes. Houghton Mifflin is also a hands on, minds on curriculum that is based on scientific research. Aligned with key Pre-K goals, it provides children with the foundational skills they need to succeed as lifelong learners. Click Here To See Curriculum What do your fees include? Our $125 registration fee covers all of the student's school supplies, nap mat, and curriculum fees. This fee is not applicable for students enrolled only in VPK. When is tuition due? Tuition is the due the Friday before the following week. Tuition is considered late after 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Do I have to pay for childcare if my child is not at preschool? Students are allotted two vacation weeks annually. Families must provide written notification two weeks in advance. Credit unable to be applied for absences. |
